Hutman Diagnostics® decided to strengthen its strategic focus and to collaborate with Axela Inc., a provider of automated and customized flow-through microarray platforms.

Hutman Diagnostics® and Axela Inc. co-develop the ALENA system, which is a combination of the following in vitro diagnostic devices:

• Axela’s advanced flow-through microarray technology platform combined with Hutman’s probe library for the detection of multiple bacteria
  
• Hutman’s reagent kits for pathogen-specific nucleic acid amplification
  
• Customized operating software and easy to use data analysis software, with clear reporting of results
  

Specific focus lies on the rapid and thorough diagnosis with high sensitivity and specificity to shorten the time from sample collection to results and provision of a medical laboratory report.
